BRAAK - Mr. James Douglas Braak, 69, of Walker, passed away peacefully at his home with his "family" at his side and went to be with his savior Jesus Christ May 10, 2009. Jim fought a thousand men's fight against cancer but God had other plans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynard and Margaret Braak; sister, Daneen Braak. He is survived by his best friend, Barb Braak; sons, Todd and Scott (Lyvanh) Braak; grandchildren, Mahli "Princess" and Hudson "Little Buddy"; and many family members and friends. Jim was a 1958 graduate of Grand Haven High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University. Jim also served his country in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
